SSI: Supplemental Security Income
If you meet SSA’s disability criteria, and have limited income and resources you may qualify for work incentives offered by the social security administration (SSA).
SSI Calculations
* You can never have more than $2000 in the bank at any given point ($3000 couple).
* SSI benefits are a month to month benefit where you report your earned and unearned gross income to social security administration.
* General Income Exclusion: $20 is not counted during calculation.
* Earned Income Exclusion: $65 is not counted during calculation.
* For every two dollars you make one dollar is reduced.
Medicaid While Working
* Medical benefits may continue even after your cash SSI benefits are terminated.

Student Earned Income Exclusion (SEIE)
Allows individuals under age of 22 who regularly attend school to exclude up to $1,550 per month, up to $6,240 a year from their SSI calculations.
